I used to tinker when I was much younger mainly with British stuff, then a few years ago with a mix of American and British but my dreams of building a layout never eventuated. All the American stuff has now gone to my Dad he has a layout but it's currently in storage temporarily, I think I have some pics of it but I will have to try and find them lol.

Does your father have a preference in the U.S. railroads, or does he just fancy the various EMD and SD diesel locomotives?

I'm so late to the party.
I decided to apply the details to both my Kato RDC's. It's a shame the details weren't pre installed, but it feel worth more (sentimentally) now that I've added to it. My hands were shaking like crazy for some reason while doing this. Besides the fact that I had to put in some of the details, Kato still pulls it's own weight and some of mine too!

The pieces snapped into holes in the roof. No glue! Like a model kit for children. Except it's a 80 dollar model train.

Yeah, I had a splurge of enthusiasm on N gauge a while back, I started building a layout but now it's hung forlorn on the garage wall

I am primarily an N Gauge tetsudo mokei Collector but I don't have a huge amount of room for diorama like a few collectors. I only run six lines.
