A lot of fans always wanted Daisy. If you create Daisy, people will definitely want one in their collection.

I would do anything absolutely anything for you to 3D print me a model of a lbscr I3

Looking forward to it. Keep it up, and maybe your next project could be matching coaches?

This is amazing mate!

RE: A New Breed of Plarail Custom - FlyingFordFalcon - 11-21-2017

Thanks for the comments all. @Chrizzly originally I did intend to make matching coaches for it based on the kind that came with Gordon but then ran out of time.

As far as requests go, I haven't actually said I'm taking them on board at this point because I have a fair few things to get out of the way currently. If or when I do though I'll probably make a poll though so people can vote for their favourite options.

Hello again all. My, it's been a while hasn't it? We can attribute my absence to me being a terrible person and I'm sorry for leaving so long.

However I have something that will probably more than make up for it. Now that I've graduated high school and have trouble filling the hours upon hours of free time I'm stuck with, because apparently getting a job is harder than it sounds, I decided to start work on something this morning.

That's right, it's finally happening! There's not much of her at the moment but that's liable to change extremely quickly. I'm designing it to fit on a Diesel 10 chassis as from what I understand he is easier to source than BoCo.

Until next time, ciao.

That looks awesome Fly, good job. One day I would like to see your work come to fruition with a real 3D printed custom.

RE: A New Breed of Plarail Custom - FlyingFordFalcon - 02-14-2018

Thanks, Super. It's very much in the realm of possibility that you may see my work as a realised toy as Daisy is being made for somebody on this forum. If you meant you would like to see myself create one of these in the flesh then it may be a different story unfortunately. It is something I wish to try in future though.

A minor update on Daisy;

I'm trying not to stop because recently I've found continuing projects to be difficult once I pause. once again positioned next to 3801 as I wanted to use the same colours without re-entering material data. Still a few things left to do but the end is nearing.

I can't thank you enough for this <3 Daisy looks fantastic so far and I can't wait to try the print. Hopefully by my next birthday I'll also have an airbrush and some primer to properly color her with, and I can show what the finished product will look like in real life.

Here is the shell as it currently stands.

I still need to do some tweaks to things like the handrails but it is pretty much done.

One thing I would like to know is whether I should make the lining a raised detail such as on characters like Henry, where the lining on the cab sides and splashers is raised, or leave it flat for people to do the lining themselves. My personal thoughts are if they are raised it makes it a lot easier to paint them and could potentially have cleaner results than using a brush freehand, but others may disagree. Please get back to me on that one while I work on the face.

EDIT: Also should I consider changing the title of the thread? Let me know! Tongue
