The Tudor Rose is about 3" across, have to agree about the tanks, they do look odd in that colour, but it just happened to be the resin I had loaded when I tried printing them - it was more an experiment than anything else Smile

I wonder what a soft white LED light would look like inside that translucent red plastic would look like?

RE: The New 3D Printing Thread - Nigels - 10-05-2019

A question I intend to answer pretty soon, I'm intending to print some 'crystal' type structures (to use as gaming scenery), I'm going to modify them so that they have a hole in the bottom so I can insert the LED of one of these battery powered tealight things inside them Smile

Thats a great idea Nigels and make great use of all those Tealights you have.

will the "Bridge" comes with tracks?

RE: The New 3D Printing Thread - Nigels - 10-06-2019

Yes, the bridge has track moulded into it with a male and female connector on the ends as normal...

Here's some pics of the top of the bridge;

Ok, folks something a bit different, I've just kicked off a new print, quite a long one in fact, but assuming it finishes without issue it should be quite lovely.

But while its going it occurred to me we could have a bit of a fun competition.  What I'll do is each day I'll post a picture of the print as in progress and you guys and gals can take a guess at what it is going to be when it finishes.  No prizes, just a bit of a laugh.  So to begin, here's the first picture about 90mins into the print, not that it gives away much at this point;

Well since you have been printing objects related to a far range of subjects I would like to ask if this is model train related?

RE: The New 3D Printing Thread - Nigels - 10-07-2019

Yes, it can be but at the same time doesn't have to be (how about that for an enigmatic answer lol!), although it may be a bit longer before you see the next photo, I went to bed and left it printing perfectly, woke up this morning to find that I'd had extrusion problems and it was effectively useless so had to cancel it and will re-start when I've tweaked a few bits <grrrrrr>...

Hmmm...train station or house?
