Holes in the wheels are completely pointless. But they don’t seem like such a problem to me, when the train is running you can’t see them! But this “miniature” rolling stock is really inappropriate. In the TV Show, wagons are almost always noticeably bigger than locomotives, especially than Thomas. The Annie & Clarabel models are much smaller, and these other passenger cars seem to have come out of some other dimension where things are ... smaller.

Many wagons were already too small for TM2 locomotives, and now they are ridiculously small. If they already plan to release so many engines, packs and sets in the near future, they might as well think of rolling stock. TM2 passenger cars looks odd with AEG engines:

the rolling stocks in the All engine go are disappointing especially the one with the checkered flag.  it is basically reusing the same idea with Trophy Thomas set or whatever it is called.

Are the wheels on the All Engine Go the same sizes as the trackmaste revolution?  If yes, I wonder if you can install the trackmaster revolution wheels along with the original piston rods?

I don’t really know if there’s any wagon that’s made entirely for the AEG series; it seems to me that they are all taken from the earlier TM2 series. We are still waiting for the original and AEG locomotive-suitable wagons. And we will not welcome them so soon, because all the announced rolling stock models are very small and inappropriate. All coach and van models should be at least one centimetre taller to fit AEG locomotives.

The wheels, it seems to me, are the same size. I don't deal with alterations and customizing, and I don't see why anything should be installed on AEG locomotives, when they are - as they are - fairly true to the original from the TV show.

While I was watching your video, it donned on me that these AEG engines look to be nearly the exact same proportions as a scaled up Take’n Play model?

RE: Mister No's Plarail Pics & Vids - Mister No - 01-15-2022

I have no experience with Take’n Play models, so I don’t know anything about their proportions, but if you say so ...

I would just add that they seem to have found the right (required) size (and weight) of models for their bad TM2 rails. Somehow it seems to me that these models perform much better on TM2 rails than earlier, original TM2 models (they don’t jump off the rails in the most amazing places, like TM2 models). I guess because they are more robust, heavier.

No, no, as I explained in the description of the previous video, Santa and Mrs. Claus are no longer skating at North Pole Skating Rink as they are on a long awaited vacation in Bora Bora!  Big Grin
