Lionel J class

Got this model of the Norfolk and Western's third and final J class locomotive:

This engine was part of Lionel's "Big Rugged Trains" line, which was a series of 1:120 scale non-motorized metal engines released around 1999-2000.  I have a few more that I'll show when I get around to it.  They also had a smaller, 1:160 (N) scale version of the line, of which I have an engine somewhere...  These are really nice models, it's a shame there weren't further series of them.  Would have also been nice if some rolling stock, track, playmat, and/or accessories were made for the line as well...

I've got the original Bachmann HO limited edition version of that loco (or at least the same class), have to say it is a lovely loco... Smile

Oh, that’s very nice! The surviving J Class number 611 is one that I hope to see running in person one day.
