I really wanted these metallic engines, but I couldn't find them anywhere in Europe (where I live) for a long time. They could not be found on any European Amazon or any online shop. American Amazon was too expensive because of their now proverbially insane overseas shipping prices (in this case, $67.62!). Including VAT, the total amount climbed to as much as $145.77!!  It’s really hard to live in today’s world! 😓 I finally found them (at a relatively reasonable price) in Hong Kong. And today they have finally arrived, my precious ones!! 🤩 (Just wanted to share a happy moment with you!) 😊

it is hard to tell from the photo of yours, Does Kana comes with metallic livery as well?

They are all metallic, Leyland. I'll make a video soon, so you'll get a better look at Kana. 😊

Interestingly, although in the advertising photo (below) they are shown with metallic trucks, in the final version the trucks are not metallic. Also, Thomas' face is not the one from the base model (as shown), but the one used in the Fix 'Em Up Friends & 3-in-1 Package Pickup set (which I think is actually better).

Didn't even know they had made a Kenji is this line. Once again he looks odd pulling a Hopper car.

Both AEG bullet trains (Kana and now Kenji) look odd without their proper passenger cars. They made Kenji's passenger car in Push Along line, but not in Motorized. Sooner or later they'll probably make them with their passenger cars in "Greatest Moments" line...

Although it is not appropriate for Kenji, the hopper looks nice, and goes well with, for example, Crystal Caves Motorized Thomas...

i too actually like the Kenji hopper car. i hope the hopper car will come in other colours
