Remember that I said I will do a repair video for the New International Airport Set? I never break promises.

Excellent repairs Vio, looks like it works perfectly. Were the gears cracked or just loose on the shafts? Were the blue gears salvaged from some trains? Its nice to see the inside mechanics and how it works.

1 gear cracked, so the blue gear was the replacement (blue gear came from a 500 series Shinkansen drive axle). 3 gears were loose, so super glue is used. I used Elephant Glue, the strongest type of super glue to fix it back. Interior was first revealed in the first unboxing.

They run real nice Vio, what did you do to repair the front switches?

I didn't repair the switch, but repaired the motor. You can use a Mabuchi Motor to replace the old motor. Opening the motor box wise, use a puller and roller to pull out the friction wheel, loosen the only screw on the side, pinch the sides and you can open the motor box. For the friction wheel rubber, the cigarette filters will work fine.

That is a beautiful model train. Except for the yellow wheels, I like the color combination. Set is in great condition and the box is very good to Vio. You can tell the rails are old since they have the rough, sandpaper like, surface. I noticed that the Stop and Go track has no surface but I shouldn't be surprised because it seems like most all the 'action' pieces of these old sets  seem to be smooth rail surfaces. I can only guess that this is because of the harder plastic these pieces were made of as I can't come up with any other reason.

The yellow wheels makes it the original Panorama Express. (Fake vehicle in real life)
The box is really just below average, polystyrene are cracking everywhere, fading colours, cardboard needed to be glued back.
Everything is slippery rails except the stop and go, others are all sandpaper surface.
