Tomy acquired the rights thomas that mattel desperately wanted, Mattel responded by purchasing hit entertainment as a whole for 176million or so dollars. Still had to provide the contracted rights to tomy and still continues today.

Not so much a shocker as the stuff of nightmares. This could be a caption competition. What is this poor unfortunate kid saying to the loving relative who knitted this for him?

Looks like they had to repaint the whole face for whatever reason. I initially thought they made a cast of it because of the texture, but it must be the paint they used. If I were them, I would surely use my ol' cotton bud handle trick for the pupils, redo the eyebrows and/or apply gloss to the new paint. Apart from that, this is nowhere near as bad as the real "shockers" on here.
Something very fishy going on here:

One used Trackmaster Oliver on eBay UK, 16 bids, currently £1,557 (approx US$2,200).
@Chrisjo, this is clearly a joke listing, after all none of the bidders are identified.
Train it, plane it, you name it!
Why do people think that Oliver is rare? If he was, then almost no one would sell him on EBay.
