That is a beautiful Skarloey for sure. I didn't know he came with a light blue coach like that but thats no surprise since I know very little about the series. Is this yours Tons?

Direct from the Thomas Motorized Wiki, HiT Toy Company page:

"In the US, the engines and road vehicles were first released with half straight track or road pieces. ...... The engines had a light blue packaging with the character's name in a yellow rectangle, and a red strip with the logo in the corner. Two different styles of this packaging were made, one which is in a box with a hole on the side showing the engine's face, and another where both sides can be seen through a large amount of plastic. Tender engines or small engines with a car are known as "Big Friends", and small engines by themselves are known as "Little Friends".

Thank you very much! Well that explains it. Big Grin

Wait a minute. The article didn't say anything about the scenic landscape view behind the engine. I think you are talking about this

Further down the same page:

" In the US, some Big Friends engines were released, either a small engine with a car or a tender engine. The packaging was a card with a scenic background. "

I would like to know whether these Big Friends / Little Friends names were actual HiT Toys terminology. Did they appear on packaging, or on marketing / promotional material?

Further down the same page again:

" The following engines were released as "New Friends" at the same time. "

The way this is written suggests that they were.

The Sir Handel In Charge blister pack that you've shown above is one of the HiT "Greatest Moments" series, based on the episode of the same name.
