I've had the full resources of the research department working on this. There's a chain of stores in Japan called Seria, they're 100yen shops, the equivalent of what I know in the UK as a pound shop. These containers are sold as by Seria as 'accessory cases'. This link is for a google search セリアのJRFコンテナ小物入れ

Thank you very much Dr Chris. Looks like they are sold in 100yen shops in Japan similar to our Dollar Stores here in the States.  Can't get a fix on if they have a name or who made them to search further. They look really cool and the lids com off.
