Trackmaster Kevin
#1
This may be a silly question but I have wondered since I know very little about trackmaster 2 compared to the original trackmaster and tomy eras if the trackmaster 2 motorized Kevin only worked on road or rail or both Huh
Hope everyone has a great day Heart

Trackmaster 2 Kevin is essentially like a trackmaster engine.  So it will run fine on tracks.  As for the road, you can try running a trackmaster 2 engine with the spikey wheels and see if it works.

Alright!
The original helping hook Kevin released for Hiro of the rails works on both TOMY and HiT road with his 2 flatbeds rather well but does NOT work on any railway track (new or not)
I'm afraid i don't own a TM2 Kevin but i know he works on TM2 track and slightly on the original like all other TM2 engines Confused.

Honestly why did they have to turn kevin into, basically an engine. He now looks extremely chunky and nothing like what he looks like in the tv series. It's a bit like how they butchered Carly in Series 25.

there is no way to house the battery if kevin doesn't look "chunky"  Same goes with Harvey.

If Argo is thinking about the motorized Road Vehicles...maybe they could have made a Kevin like Terrence, Ned or Jack (wasn't he motorized too?) which would be much smaller and run on a AAA or 'N' size battery.

You have a very good point super.  Smile The Plarail and TM push along Non motorized Kevin's are defiantly the best in terms of proportions

I don't know what were they thinking... This motorized Kevin is now - a train? Or what?

[Image: motorizedkevin.jpg]He looks weird. They turned him into a locomotive so he looks like some track-laying train loco or something like that... In any case, it's not Kevin anymore. Kevin is a clumsy little four-wheeled crane, not a locomotive. This is Kevin:

That's much better. And he can be pulled by an engine, if necessary. Smile

hold on a sec, what are his cars?! they work on rails but can't couple up to any other vehicle other than Kevin! He was one of the last Trackmaster vehicles ever released so maybe Hit was planning on making road vehicles with cars?? cranes don't pull cars so what was HiT thinking? Plus in his Promotional image/prototype a car is in front of him...I'm so confused! all the same he was a greatest moments 3 pack so he needed cars i guess? The previous road vehicles released in 2007/8  had:
a road vehicle
piece of roadway
and an accessory
Kevin could have been released like that maybe...
sorry for the long post but this is a very interesting item

PLUS another version of kevin is his TM2 "hyper glow" version...it is not really the best item ever at all  Undecided

EDIT: It also appears that the HiT Kevin might be able to run on track? https://twitter.com/rhyspyle1997/status/...8239368193
