Wow, it's the old "My Home Town" series... My favourite from that series would be the 813 series train! Smile

There was a series of videos from a guy who collected them all (My Hometown sets), but it seems (of course) I can't find it now on YT...?

Looking at the box, it seems there were 6 of these Home Town Sets released as it  shows six Loops of track (one loop for each set) that can all be connected.  Except for this C-11, the others are all Commuters.

Oh, here I found it! All trains in that series are shown on this channel. The boxes are opened one by one (starting with the steam train) and each time a new loop is added and connected to the others in the way shown on the box itself. Cool! Smile

To just add a little more detail, the 'My Home Town's Train Set' series were released Nov 26th, 2002, and are:

Hokkaido 北海道   East Japan 東日本    Tokai 東海

[Image: Hokkaido.jpg] [Image: JR-East.jpg] [Image: Tokai.jpg]

West Japan 西日本     Shikoku 四国        Kyushu 九州

When the rails in the six sets are connected together as shown, the resulting layout is intended to represent the islands/regions that comprise the Japanese archipelago.

That's the JR Kyushu Special Set that has the unique 883 srs with a yellow nose.

The 787 and the 883 also differ from the regular ones in the detail on the lower body below 'footplate' level.

So do you know if this is set the only way to get the Yellow Nosed 883?
