Plarail TOMY Thomas NEW RELEASES

That's probably why it seems to be metal. In model railroading, a longer car needs more weight so it doesn't tip over or derail easily. I'm guessing the same would apply here.
Modeling the LNER (and some Thomas stuff) in OO Scale.
A colored picture of Plarail Lorenzo & Beppe and Gina has been released with a 2020 release date

Thanks T-Boy

I do like Lorenzo except I don't see any Cab windows. I am not impressed with his Tender which looks kind of plain and has those fake bogies which just don't look right unless your name is...Chuggington. And that Coach...ugh...do they have Trackmaster Revolution designers working for Plarail now?

As for Gina...plain with not much detailing. Other than all these whining's....those wagons look pretty good Big Grin

Once I get my hands on them, I'll add cab windows to Lorenzo and fix a couple details like spray painting Beppe's Wheels and painting his roof.

Maybe they're cutting corners on some characters. I however can fix some problems.

At least Gina has the correct wheel arrangement and her cab isn't squished like in the new Trackmaster model.

Upon looking closely at Lorenzos coach it looks awfully similar to this flatbed as the chassis with a coach body on top. If it is, here is a comparison to an actual Plarail Coach, looks quite different for sure. Could it really be this small? Of course they may have also used the chassis to a troublesome truck which is about the same size.

Have you seen or heard about this circled item in a Catalog first reported by Mod Thana back on 10/24/19 which shows some blue rails with open centers?

Super. The picture you circled is 2 new set combined together. It shows on video below. Odd looking new raiser block.

Yes, looks identical to the setup at 2:11 on that video. The odd-looking curved ramps on the picture in the preview pamphlet must just be an artifact of the image editing process used to produce the greyed-out image.

The fact that the wheels appear to be fixed to the axles?, yes does look different.
