Some point I might do Rajiv of India and any suggestions on how can I make this character?

Can we stop bringing up the value of these trains when talking about customs please. In my opinion if you make a custom you should make it for the custom because there will only ever be one like it in the whole world, and there are millions of those other retired TOMY engines.

Yeah B'Station Official, This is my Custom Engine Shed (ucwepn has his own). I might do Rajiv out of a Trackmaster 2 Emily with some modifiations.

I did The Flying Thissle (A Character who only appeared in a Thomas and Friends Magazine) out of a spare TM2 Gordon and The Red Engine out of a spare Trackmaster 2012 James that I had.

I would be interested in following your progress on a custom Rajiv T-boy as he is a very interesting train.

Sorry about the bump

I used toothpicks for supports for his cab since it is pretty tall in the show. I will be using some sort of modelling Clay for his Dome & Funnel. He was made from a Trackmaster 2 Emily just like I wanted him to be. Also I used a dremel to cut Emily's roof and a screwdriver to remove Emily's face (I'll use her face for a future custom, possibly an OC of mine).

Here's Rajiv from the show:

He may be almost accurate. I chose TM2 Emily because Him and Emily has a big wheel in the middle and that's the only model I could get to make him as I want to keep my Trackmaster 2007 Emily the way she is.

Also, here's how Rajiv is now:

The TV Series photo is possibly what he could look like when done but it would be complicated. He would be close to what he looks like in the show.

My upcoming customs in the pipeline:
Plarail Gina of Italy (Plarail THomas Body Shell/Plarail Percy Chassis)
Plarail Yong Bao of China (Plarail TS-07 Hiro {I'll buy a spare model so I can keep the one I have now the way he is})
Plarail Fredia of Germany (Plarail TS-04 Gordon {I'll buy 2 so I can keep one the way he is and another will be Fredia})
Plarail Carlos of Mexico (Plarail S-51 JR 8620 Class {I'll buy 2 so I can keep one the way it is and another will be Fredia}) (He will recieve the most modifications along with fredia)
Plarail Raul of Brazil (TBA)
Plarail Ivan of Russia (TBA)
Plarail Shane of Australia (Plarail TS-16 Connor)
Plarail Vinnie of North America (Plarail TS-16 Connor)
Plarail Bear (Plarail EF510 Red Thunder)
Plarail D199 "Spamcam" (Plarail TS-09 Diesel 10)
Plarail Daisy (TBA)
Plarail Rex (Plarail TS-04 Gordon)
Trackmaster 2 Bert (Trackmaster 2 Henry)
Plarail Singrid of Arlesdale (Plarail EF510 Red Thunder)
Plarail Willson (One of my T&F OCs) (Plarail Thomas/Trackmater Duke Tender {I had a spare so I'm using it for his model})
*Since Mattel released Etienne for Trackmaster, he will be his own model*

Also, I'm almost finished with Ashima as well.

*For Customs, I like buying spares so I won't mess with the orginial*

Very interesting TB90, anxious to see more as the construction continues and with your custom Ashima. Smile

Rajiv actually looks decent so far. Much better than cutting up a precious original Emily as opposed to the deformed Revolution one. Your photography has also improved (is it the same camera?).

The toothpicks used for his cab will make it too tall; you should trim them slightly so they're more in scale (I suggest you start measuring things and using a ruler if you want something adequate). Also, for the funnel you should use a rod on the inside to keep it all together and help it stay up, or (better yet) use something symmetrical like a PVC pipe or LEGO so the funnel would "blend in" and actually look like it's part of the model. Furthermore, you don't need to add the engines' countries every time you mention them (we already know who they are; i.e., "Ivan of Russia" as opposed to another Ivan). Hopefully this Rajiv will turn out good and do him justice, since he's worth the effort.

P.S. I saw Daisy on the upcoming customs list. You should definitely save up and order Out of Oil (FlyingFordFalcon)'s Daisy body and face from Shapeways (body requires a pre-Revolution Diesel 10 chassis) to get the best result. Trust me, it's much better than using BoCo or a generic Japanese engine. Just be sure to paint them if they arrive.
Ha...I could use the name of the country's as I am not up on all of those, besides...Ivan of Russia sounds much more impressive than just Ivan.

Now I'm back again, here's more progress on both Rajiv of India and Ashima of India. Like I said, Ashima was made from a spare Plarail C12-50 ( Yes I did get 2 because I like collecting the non Thomas engines as well as they look unique. Rajiv of India was made from a Trackmaster II Emily model because she looked horrible. Her old would fit Rajiv better.

For Ashima, I painted on her buffer beam in the rear dark blue and did her buffers in Sharpie in black (Like in the show). I also recycled the C12-50 Buffer beam for her own and painted it dark blue and added buffers (I also removed the C12-50's lamps on the former Running board that was removed).

For Rajiv, he had the most work done on him. I added the cab panels to him, his face (It looks too big but it's alright, printed from Google Docs), All his lamps (His Lamps on the footplate are made out of minature wooden lighthouses), Strings that are him, and many more. I also gave him a new buffer beam that's made out of Cardboard (Emily's bufferbeam was smoothened with a dremel and colored black with a Sharpie. His Funnel was made out of a large dowel that was cut into the length of his funnel and was painted the colors of the Indian Flag. The Top of his funnel was dowel end colored in bronze with a Bronze Sharpie that I own. The crown on his funnel was 2 little metal Butterflies bundled together. His details were painted with Paint Pens (They were used on his Front Buffer Beam as well). from a local Hobby shop (My mom also gets some of her craft stuff there). His rear buffer beam was painted black. His buffers are whitw with a black circle inside of them.

Also, I used a LOT of Super Glue to hold everything together.

Hard Work & Effort has been put into both characters

I have other projects in the coming months including:

Plarail Rex (Plarail TS-04 Gordon)
Trackmaster 2 Bert (Trackmaster 2 Henry)
Sam (He'll have MAJOR changes as well)
Daisy (Her Body and face will be 3D Printed)
D261
Possibly more of my OCs
Fisher Price Peter Sam Siderod Swap (I also done this to Skarloey and Rheneas in around 2009)
Smudger (Trackmaster Rheneas {Fisher Price})**

Plarail Singrid of Arlesdale (Plarail EF510 Red Thunder)
Plarail Willson (One of my T&F OCs) (Plarail Thomas/Trackmater Duke Tender {I had a spare so I'm using it for his model})

Ashima of India

**There are still some cheap NIB TM1 Charcters I'll snatch up before the prices get jacked up in the next few years
