Continuation of BigLobe Plarail Museum

That is because I have never seen this set before. This set has no search results on the internet, it is such a miracle for something like this to even exist despite our research for all Plarail, whether Japanese or Foreign, carried out for more than 5 years. I know there is a red EMD unit too (did it come in a set?).

This set will definitely be a worthy pick for the honourable mentions. Thanks Super for showing us that our research needs more to be done, I'm sure there will be a time where everything will be uncovered and known.

If you can post more pictures of the set and the contents, I'm begging you to post here. I'm anxious to see everything.

I no longer have the box but I do have 3 of the 3 piece trains (3 engines & 6 coaches) Below is a picture of the back of the box and some of the train itself.

The Red EMD only came in one set as far as I know and possibly only in the US but its much easier to get of the 3 EMD trains. I can't remember the exact name of the set but I am looking around to get some picture. The set was very big and also came with a white E3 Komachi bullet train. I also can't remember if it was under the Tomica World name or just Tomy. One of the biggest sets ever that wasn't a Thomas set if I remember correctly.

73系ガレージキット 73 Series Garage Kit

There are many kinds of garage kits, like the "103 series Kit", "EF63 EF64-1000 EF200 Kit", "PGK EH-10" and the "PGK EF-60". This is the first time I have encountered this 73 series, it looks completely original because the plastic cuts on the sides really don't match the monotone coloured plastic densha (like red, green and yellow plastic trains, although very similar). Front portion of the main car is completely original as it looks different from the denshas. The back coach does not have a pantograph, and all of the denshas have pantographs on the back coach. This and the rumoured 80 Series Blue Frog Kit could be the rarest garage kit out of the already scarce garage kits due to unknown original packaging. These kits are all in new power era, and are produced in Thailand or China?

I am curious as to why they are called 'Garage Kits'?
Existence of 73 series and 80 series garage kits are confirmed, there are only 30. That is right. Only 30 produced.

73 and 80 are custom made kits 20 years ago. Somebody told me these ones do not have original packaging. (the PGK kits above are made by TOMY and of course have original box)
Garage kits because the they are dismantled in the packaging, and body is unpainted. Some kits only have the body and no chassis.
This is a fake 73 series, but it is painted really nicely.

Phantom Gem 55: ひかりごうモノレールセット Hikari Monorail Set

Just yesterday, it was confirmed to be a true phantom gem of Plarail. Boasting a minimum value of 70000 yen for a terrible condition set and 185000 yen for an OK condition set due to the monorail. Both the 1970 Hikari which is will be considered to be a phantom gem around 5 years time and the entire monorail system which is a pain to complete if parts are missing or broken, makes up the total value of the price today. All parts related to monorail system are exclusive to this set. Released in 1975, the set was around for a quite some time but it's survival is at stake. Very few sets are known to survive today. If you find monorail system parts of this set in the second hand shop, it is said to be a very lucky moment. Tall buildings like this monorail tower are rarely introduced in Plarail universe, it is a true masterpiece in a layout and it is a terrible shame that way too few of these still survive and too few are produced. The train would pass by the station, pushing the lever to push the monorail upwards. Then the monorail will glide down the rails and reach the lowest part of the building and the cycle starts again.

Phantom Gem 56: ちんちんでんしゃセット Chinchin Toden 8000 Set

It finally resurfaced the internet again after over 46 years of no clear images online. This is by far the clearest image of the set. 1973-1974, one year only. It almost shared the same story of the legendary C-12ロータリーじょせつしゃセット C-12 Rotary Snowplough Set, where it disappeared after half a year. The worst part of all this: The set shown here is only sold for 9000 yen and it was quickly sold after 1 minute and 33 seconds the listing was published, which makes it the fastest Mercari Plarail listing to end by completed sales. It was a utter shame that the seller did not know the level of rarity that he is trying to sell. Such a set in this condition could easily go up to 270000 yen for the most insane buyers. If the rotary snowplough set can rise up to 301000 yen, it can almost be comparable to the Chinchin Densha Set. These 2 sets are obviously the hardest sets to obtain together, and such a legendary story could be told and handed down from generation to generation if both sets are obtained.

I always liked that Monorail set but was always was held back from pulling the trigger because I thought it may have issues.

Wow, fantastic deal on those rare trams sets. Did you or a member of your team win them?
