What does your first trackmaster/Tomy train look like today?

I have no idea which was my first, but all the engines I owned are still in relatively good condition

Actually same (at least for not knowing which was my first), in this case, my first engine was just my most used, because frankly i can't remember which order i got my trains in, and i probably got them in bulk from my older brother anyway.

This was my first engine.
It is sitting on top of my childhood toy box that used to be at my grandmother’s house.

That engine is cool and the Toy Box, wow, what a relic. If I was a gambling man, I would put money on the fact that the only reason you still have that engine and childhood Toy Box is that your Grandma saved it all these years.

Not exactly Super…
The engine has been with me for 50 years.
I’ve actually managed to keep a good portion of my childhood toys, but the toy box was originally my uncle’s at my grandparents house in the 50’s, then it was mine in the 70’s, and then my cousin’s in the 80’s.
My uncle had taken it in the 90’s when my grandmother died.
He had it for the last 30 years, but he just recently passed away.
My Aunt decided to move, and in the process of helping her move I saw it for the first time in 40+ years. I had completely forgotten about it, and nearly cried when I saw it.
My aunt didn’t want it, and my cousin said he had no room for it, so I ended up getting it!!Smile
It’s in its original state since my grandma put the nutcracker decals on it 70 years ago.
Just looking at it brings back so many memories.
Play nice & have fun!!Smile

That's an amazing train! I can't believe that after so many years its still in such good condition!
Also, I'm sorry for your losses.

@Muddy

What a great family story and even more impressive is that the Toy Box made it through the changes of hands and homes. Good thing you were there to grab it before someone threw it away. I am also impressed that as a young man you saved the engine too. Did you manage to save any other of your childhood toys?

My first trackmaster item is the 3 item pack.  I got the green "Sodor metal" green wagon along with the stone grinder machine or something like that.  Sadly, I scrapped the stone grinder wagon as I wanted a flatbed back then.  As for the green "sodor metal" log wagon? I had to replace the "flat coupling" as it broke.
