Shipping woes

I love that little tram! And yes, it's rather fast. It's one-speed-train and that's the fastest one speed train I have. It beats even the Meitetsu 510 which is known as very fast vehicle.
But other than that it's a beautifully manufactured tram, gold details (the lines & car number) on that dark red part of the body are great, I'm sure you'll love it too!

I am going to get together and test the rpm's of my dozens of spare motors to see which one I want to use to replace the original because it just doesn't look right with it being so fast. But I need this delivered to see what the rpm's are now. Since this release has the new/new motor chassis I wonder if the gearing in this is responsible for the faster movement.

DHL is a hit and a miss.  Lego ships its product via DHL.  It took me almost a month before I receive the order.

if you are in the UK there are 2 different DHL companies . DHL Express which is what i use and then there is the DHL UK arm which is also known as UK Mail and they are to be avoided

The DHL policies and practices obviously differ from country to country. My first contact with them was few years ago when I ordered some video-courses from The Teaching Company (The Great Courses). They shipped their materials with DHL only. Then I went through a tiring EORI number validating procedure, because DHL required it (the Post never requires it). At least I had that number now when I ordered the Sakura Tram. But with DHL fees, the additional charges were about 50 USD, and that's a bit too much...
But there is another problem: I noticed the eBay sellers increased the price of Standard International Shipping (now it is 24-46 USD for some Plarail trains I want). I suppose it's because they can't ship with the Japan Post so they have to use DHL.

More woes...

I just tried to have my Agent (Japamart) ship out a couple small items I had recently purchased from Japan and was surprised that the only method that can be used to ship is 'Surface Parcel' which will take 2 months to arrive. Japan Post is no longer accepting anything but Ground Shipping to the United States and other country's. Will we ever see the end to this madness?

I have a package that's from China that hasn't been traced since April 28th.
That's why I turned to Amazon Japan for this stuff now.
Making Customs, Filming Videos and looking for the purest engines. That's how I roll here on Blue Plastic Tracks.

Mine has been sitting in Osaka since April 19th...
Jauce won’t do anything about it, says that it is in JapanPost’s care now.
Said that “IF” it is returned to their warehouse they will re-ship it, but if not, to just wait until JapanPost decides what to do with it.
Unless something extraordinary comes up on Jauce (yes I used them by name because I don’t care anymore) I won’t be using their services again.

I just got 2 parcels from Japan (eBay purchases).

1st was picked up in Tokyo on May 18, 2020 at 5:11pm, and was delivered on May 20, 2020 at 2:07pm. (DHL)
2nd was picked up in Kobe on May 18, 2020 at 9:51pm PDT and was delivered to me just now. (FedEx)

I can't believe how fast that was...
