Welcome Mike, thanks for the kind words I am certainly glad things that I have learned and put in videos can help people. it certainly sheds light on the alternate PG's, Sunhuntin and I were having quite the discussion as I was pointing out what I saw as discrepancies. You might be onto a winner with custom faceplates and I would be certainly keen to buy an Angry James faceplate and I guess many others would be too.

Hope you enjoy your time here and we can all learn from each other Smile

Ok tttn I believe you have truly outdone yourself with the gordon clones and if I were you, I'd try to put all of that knowledge into your own youtube channel and share your wealth of knowledge to the world! You are very blessed to be able to work those tools the way you have! You do a great job with the Gordon's you have made!
Proud owner of Tomy/Plarail trains. Cool

Hello Tttn (what does that stand for) and welcome to Blue Plastic Tracks.

I am glad you have come on to explain your side of the story as I was enjoying the (Soap Opera) saga that was unfolding. I certainly would be very interested in seeing a video or pictorial of all the steps and custom work you have done to Gordon. Do you have access to a mold shop with kilns hot enough to melt metal or to you have these tools of the trade in your home? I have so many questions but I think they would be more appropriate in a new thread started by you that just deals with your talents of modding.

A few questions concerning this topic.

Why not explain in your Ebay listing exactly what you said above about the great lengths you went through to create this train? And, if you have a box full of new, Tomy, Gordons, Why not reinsert the modded Gordons into them. That would at least make it in new condition and explain more about what you have done. And lastly, if you used a new shell for the clone that Muddy bought, what happened to the roof protusion? Do the other, new in the box, ones have it?

Once again welcome to our community and I look forward to hearing more from you.

Guys I have been lurking and reading this thread over the past few days. I have to tell you that I really enjoyed the whole story!

The drama, suspense, the whodunnit! Up till the very end when the Wizard of Oz was finally revealed!

This thread had more drama than an episode of Law and Order. I loved reading it. Bravo! Bravo!

What a great story and a ripping good read! I love this site!

I think the rights to the book have been attained and the motion picture is being cast right now. They aren't sure who to cast in the parts of Muddy, Ucwepn and Tttn. Any ideas?

There is rumors in Hollywood that George Clooney has asked for the part of Ucwepn. Don't know if its true or not.

I see that you have updated your listing on Ebay and my hat is off to you sir. Fine job.

Tomy Plarail Powerful Gordon Trackmaster Thomas Clone

Quote:The Powerful Gordon was originally produced in 2001-2002 and was sold only in the Japanese market by Tomy Plarail, which makes it one of the rarest trains in the Thomas the Tank Engine toy line. In fact, only Golden Thomas and 60th Thomas Anniversary Metallic Edition trains are rarer.

One of my original Powerful Gordon just sold on eBay for $350.00. I sold that train, so that I could buy the materials needed to reproduce this very rare train. I painstakingly and faithfully reproduced all the unique features of this scarce train. Making my Powerful Gordon clone a great place holder for any serious Thomas the Train collector. By adding the exact weights in the same locations as the 2001-2002 version.

This weight is used to balance the train and provide the needed traction to pull up to seven coaches through tight S turns and swiftly down the long straight aways. There is also a more powerful Tamiya Dash motor installed, which pulls six coaches twice as fast as a standard Gordon pulling just two. This is truly one powerful Gordon.

This is not a cheap reproduction, I’m proud of the work that I accomplish. I crafted each train from brand new, straight out of the box, never played with Tomy Plarail Gordons. I hand sign, date and serialize each train that I make. You will not be disappointed.

Please see this train's performance on youtube at Mike's Powerful Gordon.
